Three parts to this assignment:
1) After reading chapter 1 in Writing That Works, see Exercise 4 at the end of the chapter (It begins, "Your company is experiencing financial difficulties, which has resulted in a hiring freeze."). Review the chapter's key points on a document's purpose, audience, and context. Then download and answer each question in the sample Audience and Use Profile document.
2) Next, compose a tactfully worded HR memo to "upper management" on the staffing changes as indicated in Exercise 4.
3) Finally, write a brief explanation (150-200 words) of how your consideration of the document's purpose, audience, and context influenced specific choices you made in crafting the memo.
Combine the three documents into a single file (MS Word or PDF), and submit it to the Individual project 1 dropbox in D2L.
