Writing Exercise 4

Following the explanation and examples of how to summarize an article or essay in the Guide to College Writing (see pp. 69-70), write a one-paragraph summary of any one of the three articles we're reading for Wednesday's class: "College Pressures" (292-99), "Why Not a Football Degree?" (669-72), or "How It Feels to Be Colored Me" (413-17).

• Type the summary (formatted properly as indicated in the "simple stuff" guidelines for typed work).
