In-class exercise 5

Using Microsoft Word on a library computer, during our class period this evening, September 26th, create a document to print and turn in before leaving the library tonight, as described below:

Step 1: Use the MS Word template feature to create a brief memo addressed to me explaining that you are either a) looking forward to following the Atlanta Braves this postseason, or b) do not give a hoot about the Atlanta Braves or the horses they rode in on.

Step 2: In this memo, insert a table of two rows and seven columns, with borders and at least some cells lightly shaded (no more than 10% gray), containing your class and work schedules for one calendar week (e.g. make the top row the days of the week, the second row listing your class and work obligations or hours)

Step 3: After the table, in the same document, include two clip-art pictures, one of a quill pen and another of either a dog or cat.

Step 4: Also in the same document, any kind of line drawing or organizational chart or flow chart inserted from the "insert" toolbar menu.

Step 5: Print the document, congratulate yourself, turn in the exercise, be on your way.
